For My Patients

Michael Hochman, MD, MPH

Dear Patients,

It has been a true honor to care for you during my time at Keck Medicine of USC. I have accepted a new position to direct a medical group focused on the care of patients experiencing homelessness. While I am excited about this new role, it is bittersweet, since it means I can no longer practice at USC.

To help you in your transition to a new physician, I have partnered with a vendor to conduct telemedicine visits (video visits) in case questions or active issues arise. Many — but not all — insurance providers will cover these televisits (though you may be subject to a co-pay). Here is information on how to schedule televisits with me in the coming months:

  • I will be conducting televisits through the Amwell platform. You can sign up for a televisit with me at this website:
  • You CANNOT pre-schedule televisits with me. Instead I will list the times when I will be available on the platform to see patients on this website. You just need to logon during one of these times and search for my name. The platform will indicate how many patients are ahead of you in line and an estimate of the wait time. If there is a long wait, you can always logon at a future time when the wait may be shorter.
  • Upcoming availability (I will keep this information updated!):
    • Wednesday September 15 from 9-11A

I am privileged to have had the opportunity to work with each of you, and I wish you the best of health. I hope our paths will continue to cross!
